  • Are TIFDI courses accredited?
We are in the midst of preparing necessary documentation to be accredited by the Council for Higher Education. However, because the courses we teach guided by Lecturers in higher education institutions and our Syllabi are adjusted to the requirements of these institutions, some institutions recognize our courses for granting credits. Students should verify in their educational institution whether recognition for credits will be granted.
  • How can I registry?
To register for the courses of the Institute click on the “Register” button on top of the page. You must fill in your form and name the courses you would like to register to. We can send you an email with a payment invoice or you can continue to the online registration at the next step. For online registration please choose a course/s that you want to learn and then pay for them via credit card, deposit a check account (manual payment) or direct bank account transfer. Please allow few days for the payment system to update. After receiving payment we will issue you a user name and a password with the help of which you can login and wait for the beginning of the class at the time specified.
  • How can I login into the system?
You would be able to login after a successful registering for the course/s or a Diploma program. Username and password will be sent to your email box which you mentioned in your registration form. You can login in the top row entering that username and password. Please make sure your browser allows access (allow cookies).
  • Technology requirements
The system allows browsing and learning using a simple web browser. To participate actively in the video lessons you should obtain an external video camera (or one installed on your computer), headphone and microphone. You can participate in the video-lessons without a camera and a microphone, but you can not ask questions in real time but through chat only.
  • When are the lessons scheduled?
Any instructor determines the time of video-lessons depending on the level within the group and schedule of the Learning system. In most courses there is a lesson once a week. If the time of the video-lesson set is uncomfortable to you, ask the instructor if he/she can customize a video call or see the group’s recorded lesson.
  • How I’ll learn?
After receiving of the password and the beginning of the course you will get access to the learning section (eLearning). Click on the name of the course to which you are registered. The course will open you a menu with a list of future classes. This page will be open for reading or download a file of the first lesson, a presentation of the lesson, study materials and lists of reading/watching. In your school board (Calendar button in the top menu), you can know the scheduled time of video-lessons, changes, tests, or other class meetings. We strongly recommend that you visit the school board every time you are entering the system to be updated. You will need to complete the course requirements, pass exams or submit a personal project. For completing of the course you will submit a work or pass a test. After the course is finished we will send you a certificate indicating the completion of the course in PDF format. You can also request a paper certificate issuing for additional charge.
  • How do I make the tests?
The system supports learning tests with time limit or no limit at any time set or tests with accurate personal dates. You should be updated on a type of the test/s you are going through a course to prepare accordingly.
  • How can I be updated for tasks?
Personal and group assignments are put into “School board” (your personal Calendar) when you enter the educational portal of eLearning. You should be updated every time you enter the system to avoid misunderstandings. Personal chores like reading of the articles recommended for completing the guided project will be you send to your personal email.
  • How do I get a certificate?
After finishing the course you will receive a certificate of the course. If you will be interested, we can specify in the certificate your final score or the level of studies (course for beginners or advanced). Certificate will be sent to your e-mail in PDF format. You can order a hard copy certificate for an additional fee.
  • Is it possible to participate in the research of the Institute?
Our institute manages series of in-depth studies on topics related to the behavior of users on the Internet. You can participate in the research of the Institute as a research assistant for personal projects and work during your studies with TIFDI. To participate in research projects fill in the registration form (button “Register” at top menu). Instead of desired courses mention “I want to participate in the Institute’s research in the field of…”. We will send you a questionnaire form and will examine your research qualifications to serve as an assistant.
  • Is it possible to publish my research made during my studies in TIFDI?
The author of the work holds the copyright for research work and personal projects and therefore you are allowed to publish them as an author. You must note that the work was done during your studies with TIFDI and the name of the TIFDI Lecturer should be mentioned on the front page.
  • Which databases can I use for my studies?
We refer our students to a list of databases that are used for studies at the Institute.
  • How can I see my test results?
After entering the portal learning (eLearning) click on the course name and tag my tests to see the test results.
  • Can I appeal on the grade given?
Yes, you can submit an appeal to a lecturer and the Secretariat on the results of a test/work. If there is good reason, you would be able to submit the task/test once again.
  • How can I contact with the lecturer?
You can contact the Lecturer by email. Some professors allow phone calls/personal chats with students to clarify assignments.
  • If there are special circumstances, can I freeze the course?
You can freeze the course and continue it at another time. However, we can not guarantee the extent and scope of the group of the same course in the future. In case the course is taught by another lecturer who has other requirements or frames different studies, it will be impossible to get credit or recognition for the lessons learned so far.
