Dr. Marina Shorer-Zeltser is the author of the newly published book ‘Barter of Identity and Support’, contributor for the book of the Center for Technology and Society at Berlin University of Technology and Nexus Institute for Cooperation Management and Interdisciplinary Research in Berlin “Terrorism and the Internet: Threats – Target groups – Deradicalisation strategies”. She published chapters in the book of “Online newspapers in Israel” and contributes her research articles in the International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management and in the Journal of International Communication.
As a world-known scholar, Marina combines a balanced view of advanced empirical research and theoretical models. Being a former Media Liaison for the Israeli Ministry of Internal Security, she implements her knowledge of the routine of the Governmental structures with theoretical and practical tools , helping students to find new and creative solutions to upcoming issues. She believes that promoting resourceful resolutions into public life can establish bridges between peoples and countries and she helps to do it in innovative ways through her membership in the United Nations ICTs and the Civil Society to promote Social Development.
Marina works with the world-leading research centers and universities to endorse scientific research in the fields of Internet Politics and Digital Identity. She is also a high-profiled and welcomed speaker of security and public organizations such as NATO and UNESCO. She is a keen advocate of promoting understanding of the public affairs sector, and the contribution made by political scientists to a properly functioning democracy, amongst politicians, the media and others. Public and governmental agencies in the USA, Middle East and Africa frequently ask for her advice in composing reports and papers.

Faculty, Head of Cyber Terror Project
Being nominated Best Teacher for online learning programs for 5 years, Galit believes that online teaching is an interaction between the learner and the teacher. She treats her students as colleagues usually involving them in her research projects and publications.
For decade Galit’s prime research field had been analysis of Government’s Policy-making in Hostage-Barricade Terrorism (HBT) situations and abductions. Her publications found sound audience in books and journals, and she has participated as a board member in numerous world best scientific and security events such as the annual conference of International Political Science and NATO workshops.
Within the development of the Internet Cyber-space, she moved to the analysis of new dynamics of offensive activities. She is a high-profiled lecturer for local and federal governmental agencies, NGOs and national infrastructure companies in Israel.
During her lecturing, Galit actively involves the audience in discussions of events and problems, finding international parallels and solutions. One example includes, how to compel with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Cyber Security Standards. She likes challenges and is always ready to read and discuss controversial issues.

Colin Delany is founder and chief editor of Epolitics.com, a site that focuses on the tools and tactics of Internet politics and online political advocacy. Epolitics.com received the Golden Dot Award as “Best Blog – National Politics” at the 2007 Politics Online Conference, and Delany was a part of DC Fox affiliate WTTG-25’s live coverage of the 2008 presidential election results. Delany also wrote the e-books Learning from Obama: Lessons for Online Communicators in 2009 and Beyond, How Candidates Can Use the Internet to Win in 2010, and Online Politics 101: The Tools and Tactics of Online Political Advocacy, together downloaded from Epolitics.com over 60,000 times.
Delany cut his political teeth in the early ’90s in the Texas Capitol (where politics is considered a contact sport) and began working in the online political world in 1995. In 1999, he helped to start a targeted search engine for politics and policy, which he rode into inevitable oblivion during the first Internet boom and bust. Since then, Delany has worked as a consultant to help dozens of advocacy campaigns promote themselves in the digital world, and between 2003 and 2007 was the Online Communications Manager at the National Environmental Trust. In January of 2010, he joined the firm New Media Strategies as a Strategic Manager in the public affairs section. He also plays bass in a rock and roll band.
- Brett Goldman
Cyber Security, Teaching and Research Assistant
Brett Goldman graduated with a degree in History and studied post-Graduate studies in Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University (USA). Mr. Goldman’s Thesis work was entitled: “An examination of current trends in Political and Civic education in the United States”. He was appointed to the position of Field Officer on a campaign in Northeast Philadelphia during the 2008 election. Mr. Goldman finalizes his Graduate studies in Government Program at Israeli Interdisciplinary Center in the field of Counter-Terrorism and Homeland Security. Mr. Goldman completed internship at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) of IDC. His current research issues include Counter terrorism and Homeland security, especially in the area of combating and preparing for Post-Modern Terrorism and research into European Mujahideen fighters in Bosnia and Afghanistan.

Matthew Barnes is a Masters student currently enrolled at the Interdisciplinary Centre in Herzliya, Israel, studying Politics and Counter-Terrorism. He received his first Master sdegree from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, where he studied History and English Literature. Mr. Barnes experienced the evolution of video games from their humble beginnings in the household, excluding the more social and older video arcades. While studying in Edinburgh, Matthew held a senior position in Britains biggest student newspaper ‘The Journal’.
