- Description of the Course: We send an email instead of mail, Skype instead of talking on the phone, write a blog instead of a diary, read news and Poke at Facebook instead of smile and a wink on the street. Is it the dawn of a new culture or as technology changed revolutionary, but there’s nothing new under the sun? In this course we will learn the meanings and diffusion of these changes: we will study to identify accurately the nature of the new challenges of new media and the ways in which “history is repeating”. We will do this by using test cases that reflect current rifts across the four major dilemmas of the network culture today.

- Duration: 14 weeks (3 months)
- Blog and Forum of the course
- Languages of video-lessons: English, Hebrew

- “Does web content model follow mass media or the long tail phenomenon? I say neither and both. The web is in constant flux, thus content created in one context is consumed in another. And too often, whatever you wanted to say so badly faded away so fast, while that misfortune discharge becomes written in stone and that stone rolls around and gets consumed by the masses. Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the wagging tail (trademark!) theory of the web…” by Carmel Vaisman, 6 of November, Absolute Carmel
